Our Story
Unique Minds Foundation began with a simple, uncomfortable observation: that many of the children labelled “slow”, “naughty”, or “different” in our classrooms and homes were not failing — they were unseen.
Across India, neurodivergent children — those with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia, and other learning differences — face a daily struggle that has nothing to do with their potential. They are misunderstood by educators who were never trained to recognise them, dismissed by relatives who blame parenting, and held back by systems that have no room for difference.
For families with means, the journey to clarity is long but possible. For families without means — those in government schools, in smaller towns, and in underserved communities — the journey often never begins.
UMF was founded in [Year] to bridge that gap. We are not just an awareness organisation. We are a complete pathway — from the first conversation about what neurodivergence is, to the screening that flags a child for support, to the professional testing and intervention that can change the course of their life.
We believe that no child should grow up believing they are broken, simply because they were never understood.
